1. Can I source all of the materials anywhere even in East Malaysia? Sure you can. If you can find hardware store, you can surely find all the materials. All materials are common parts mostly PVC parts.
2. What about the filter element itself, are they easily replaceable? Yes. Once you have successfully built the filter, changing the filtration media comes very easy for you. The guide teaches you how to do it.
3. How much roughly the cost for the materials? Roughly RM100 for all materials the rest is your time.
4. How much time you have to spend? Depends, once you mastered the techniques, it will be very easy for you. I can build 3 to 4 units in a week part time.
5. This sounds like a great opportunity, can I sell the filter I built? Of course! It is yours and you can surely sell it. You can actually sell it at a fraction of filters in the market!
6. Are you sure people will buy it? You get people to witness the backwash process (like the video you see in this web – and by the way, the video is the real thing that you will see just after 1 week of water filtration), they will surely ask you to build one for them.
7. Ok I am interested to build for my own use...any chance to get the manual at lower price? I have sold to others with the same price and I think I need to stick to price as I mentioned in the web to be fair to the market. The price will be increased to the “next” price once the current quantity reaches 0.
8. I don't think I can actually build this filter, can I buy a complete unit instead? How much? First of all you can surely build this filter but if you prefer to buy the complete unit you need to send email to turasasli@gmail.com and confirm the stock first. Since this will involve movement of physical unit, the delivery will be limited to some areas within selangor otherwise it will not be cost effective. Complete unit is sold at RM450 with installation but also limited to location of installation. You may email for confirmation.
